Saturday, November 26, 2011 6:30 pm - A Very Special Pairing of our Finest Barolos with White Truffles
Do not miss this one! Barolo wines are derived from the Nebbiolo grape and produced in Italy's Piedmont region. This is truly one of the world's best red wines and is an example of a wine that gets better and better with age. Truffles are rare. The white ones are only available a couple of months of the year, almost exclusively from one part of Italy, where they must be foraged by special pigs. There are fewer of them, and of lesser quality, every year. They are, in short, the perfect luxury commodity, precious and getting more so all the time. Exclusivity is certainly one of the factors that has created the allure of Brunello, much as it has for any number of very pricey and practically unavailable California cult Cabernets. Join Master Chef Angelo Romano & Sommelier Brett Hart For Wine Tasting Wednesdays
Hi There! Chef Angelo here! First, I would like to announce that Sommelier Brett Hart is part of our team! We are all very excited here at Paradiso. Our award winning wine list is being managed by outstanding professionals! So we have decided to dedicate every Wednesday to wine tasting!
How does it work? Brett and I will open some great wines from our cellar and together we will taste them and comment about them complimented by wonderful hors d’oeuvres. We also have special wine tastings where a representative from a special winery and/or the winemaker are on hand. Check our Facebook page for updates on special wine tasting events.
Every Wednesday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. $30 per person plus tax & gratuity.
